Doug Lampi, BSc.,

An Honours graduate from Brandon University in 1992, with a major in Zoology and a double minor in Botany and Chemistry, Doug enjoys the continual learning that is required in the field of Web Design and Internet Marketing.

The Commodore Pet

Doug’s first exposure to computers came in 1981 when the Commodore Pet was introduced to his Grade 10 Class at the Atikokan High School. In 1983, Doug and the Atikokan programing team won first prize in the regional high school computer programing competition in Thunder Bay.

First Website

Doug created his first website with Microsoft FrontPage in July of 1997, but never considered Web Design as a business until volunteering to build the first website for the Atikokan Chamber of Commerce.

Intro to Business

After serving the Atikokan Chamber of Commerce for a year as Vice President, Doug was elected to serve as President, and also served as the Atikokan Chamber’s representative on the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce; NOACC.

Following his year as the Atikokan Rep, Doug was elected to the NOACC Board of Directors, and for three years, Doug learned from some of the brightest minds involved with economic development and Government Lobbying in Northwestern Ontario.


Keeping Current

Doug remains informed about the needs and concerns of the Tourism Industry by following a number of  regional Tourism Associations, and by connecting with Tourism Business owners online. We are also very pleased about new working partnerships with other private web design firms, marketing companies and outdoors bloggers.
